my name is STEVE. I live in OTISCO on Nov 7th I went to Willcox tire (Cortland) for the first time new tires for my truck which had 30k miles, I picked out a brand of tires and told them if it needed brakes to do them too.. I get the bill $660 which included new tires (4) and rear brakes only, (they never checked the front brakes which I found out later were bad also). two weeks later (Nov 27th)while driving I had a wheel come off at 50 MPH leaving us in the road. all 8 lugs stripped wheel wrecked, cover missing body damage. towing back ect. I went back that Monday and asked about fixing the truck, got no where, they BALKED. come back two days later same thing. I had to have Oshea tire next door pick it up and fix it $1200+ bucks. they also informed me that the tires were DISCONTIUNED by GOODYEAR, and the wrong tires 4 ply passenger instead of the 10 ply required by the manufacture (3/4 ton GMC truck) . I filed a BBB report with no results, then a letter to the NY State Attorney General and then a VS 35 form (complaint ) with the DMV, which they have yet to acknowledge and have 6 weeks to do so. this is very serious, as the rating for these tires are below the weight of the truck. a blowout could occur as told by GOODYEAR themselves and should have NEVER been mounted on this truck. LET ME PUT THIS AS SIMPLE AS I CAN. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THEM AND THEY HAVE YET TO FESS UP TO THEIR SCREWUP. I WILL PERSUE THIS AS LONG AS I CAN, IT HAS CAUSED GRIEF TO MYSELF AND MY FAMILY. IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW MORE EMAIL ME. . IF THIS GETS IGNORED I HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO "ADVERTISE" . ONE 25FT FLATBED TRAILER WITH 10 SHEETS OF 1/2INCH PLYWOOD SCREWED TOGETHER AND PAINTED AS A TRAVELING BILLBOARD, WITH BLOWN UP PICTURES OF MY TRUCK SITTING ON THE GROUND,ALONG WITH STATEMENTS FROM GOODYEAR, THE BILL TO FIX THE TRUCK AND BODYWORK. I WILL SLOWLY PARADE THIS THOUGH CORTLAND AND THEN TO ITHACA AND BACK AND SIT OUT FRONT IF NEEDED. AND DO THIS DAILY ... YOU THINK I AM NOT SERIOUS?
