I bought a 98 Ford Contour in May of last year. The water pump had to be fixed 9 times, the driver's side sun visor fell off, the knob for adjusting the mirrors fell off, the serpentine belt ripped apart, I was hit by TWO uninsured drivers, then spun out on the highway at top speed and hit a cement wall at 80. Since then, the Ford dealer that's fixing it (through a Chevy dealer)as mandated by my insurance company, has jerked me around. Damaged in the accident: body damage, front windshield, glovebox (airbag hit it), oxygen sensors (which they tried to say just wore out right when the accident happened ), broken windows (I've had them fixed 3 times and one still doesn't work), stuck doors, oil stains on the seat, an overdrive button that's broken (they say I magically spilled pop into the button which is 4 inches above the surface below it on the side of the shift stick -- and refuse to fix it). After taking it to the dealer, it came back with the steering wheel out of alignment. The serpentine belt was shredded in the accident and they overlooked it, so I had to take it back for that. Let's see.... in 3 months it has been in and out of the shop more than 6 times, and I've driven it for a total of two weeks. Two weeks ago I got a nail in the tire driving to physical therapy for the arm I broke in the accident and last week the tape deck broke. Tell me this car isn't cursed.

That's what you get for buying an American car. Next time buy a Toyota or a Honda. That's all I've ever driven and I've never had car problems. American cars suck because of the Auto Unions. They make workers lazy and force the Auto companies to spend all their money on salaries instead of quality products. Where does it make sense for a high school graduate to make $50,000 for turning lug nuts?

Shiznit, no kidding. You are quite right. Lots of stupid people around, you know. They just screw themselves in the end..... and, many times, the rest of us, too.
