To make a long story short!! My neighbors are crazy. They have seven secrity cameras, hidden mics. Three of the cameras are night vision. They tape and record my family all day long. I tried to file a stalking order in June 2006 and the order was denied! Since then my husband and I had attended mediation with these neighbors and nothing has come of it but a headache. I need some help. Who do I call? Is this not an invasion of my families privacy? Police officers have told us on many times that the neighbors audio is awesome and they can hear us breath on our back porch. So, now that I have the windows open I am sure they can hear everything that goes on in my bedroom!!IP: Logged |

I feel for you. Our neighbor tried to break into our truck this morning and then filed charges on us for running him off our property(clearly posted with no trespassing signs). Good thing they are drugged out of their minds because he admitted to being on the property in his statement to the deputy.We now have surveillence in place to catch them on tape when they trespass. I would aim some cameras at them and see how they like it.IP: Logged |

Small world indeed!!! Benton is notorious for police corruption also; so you know what I'm talking about. The cameras have drastically reduced their drug dealing because their customers don't enjoy being taped. I'm hoping they will move away from here to do their dealing or just mess up big time and go to prison. I don't wish them on anyone as neighbors. The "authorities" around here keep telling us we need to move, but it takes money to buy a new house. My husband works full-time and attends college full-time, and I attend college full-time. Soon, we will have our degrees and careers that raise our incomes to the point that we can afford a new house, but until then we just have to deal with these people the best way we can. Wish us luck,

You are correct about Benton (and Saline County for that matter) & police corruption. I know this firsthand as I used to work for DHS/Dept of Children & Family Services. I worked hand in hand with them & saw this for myself on more than one occasion. Bryant?? Don't get me started on corruption there either. Hello Poppy_Margarita,
Just thought I'd let you know that we finally got a court date against our druggie neighbors. One of the people they have living with them tried to break into our truck in broad daylight with my husband and myself here. We ran him off and called the sheriff's department and filed criminal trespass charges against him. This was at the end of October so we assumed nothing was going to be done, but we recived the subpoena today. If nothing else, the scabs will know that we mean business. Hey Poppy_Margarita,
We finally got something done about our skanky neighbors!!! In court today, the judge found the guy guilty of criminal trespass ($405 fine) and we were granted a no contact order against him and his skanky wife. They are not allowed to get near us or our children in any manner under penalty of jail time if they do. YAY!!!! I guess sometimes justice does prevail. Bye Ya'll.IP: Logged |

The meth-heads next door didn't learn a thing in court back in February, because the skank woman is harassing myself and my children again. I had to go file charges on her again, but the cop said since we have a no contact order in place, we have a really good chance of the b***h getting jail time over this. The cop also said to file charges for every single incident so the prosecuting attorney will pay more attention to the issue. It gets really old not being able to even pick my kids up from school without someone screaming obcenities at you and making "hand gestures" at your kids. Oh well, the skank is so far gone on the meth that she is starting to dig at the meth bugs. When they get that bad they'll mess up beyond the point where they can stay out of jail. I just hope someone steps in and takes those 3 kids out of that environment, before its too late to save them.IP: Logged |

That's sooo sad. However, statistics show for every parent in the household who is a drug abuser, the chance of a child in the same household having an addiction in the future goes up 50%. Sad but true. Fedup, do what the cop said. Report her druggie ass EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's just a matter of time before the issue becomes a NON-issue for you. I agree that it is sad about the kids, worse still is that we've seen the little hooligans selling drugs while their parents are not home. Not exactly the skills I want my children to learn. I had to go back this morning because of another harassment incident that took place while I was going to my class. I actually talked to the same officer from yesterday and he attached the new charges and took it directly to the prosecuting attorney's office. When he came back he said to fill out charges for every incident, but the case should be taken care of very soon. Lord I hope so. I hope your life is going much more smoothly.
