I have always received emails from Survey Scout.! I live in NZ and the surveys did not work out for me I will admit, BUT, when I asked for a refund, very politely, not aggressively, they sent it to PayPal, and it is now in my NZ Bank A/C! Its not all bad! quote: Originally posted by roses4metoday: Survey Scout is NO good! They will not even answer your email. Avoid! Do noy pay them noney for info that is free elsewhere.

A word to the wise. I just got my refund from ClickBank because of what happened to me with Survey Scout. Within three days of registering and answering surveys, which I did not get paid for just entered in sweepstakes I was swamped with unsolicted e mails and telemarketing calls and I am on the do not call list. These companies are a front for getting your info and then trying to suck you in. Thankfully I have my money back. Are these companies legit? If you have to pay them to get to a database be wary. If you locate companies on your own by doing web searches check them out throughly before giving any personal information. I will spend the next two weeks unsubscribing to e mails I didn't request and shutting down telemarketing calls I have not gotten in years. Remember the old saying." It it sounds to good to be true it probably is.IP: Logged |

Just one side note. If you are looking at yellowsurveys.com please be aware that many of the same companies listed on this web site were listed on Survey Scouts, just because its free doesn't mean that you won't have problems with them. It just makes it easier for them to get your information. Don't let your guard down. If someone does actually find a company that pays let the rest of us know.IP: Logged |

I joined Survey Scout, My chief complaint is the free roboform that virtually takes over your computer that they offer. After reading a Google report announcing the top 10 free survey sites, I joined the first one for free on the list, named VivaResearch. They are a scam! They allegedly had 20 paid surveys. I made 300.00 supposedly. When I inquired when I would get paid, the company disapeared off the net. They got all of my info, from my social security number, to my credit cards info. I had to cancil them all. What a scam!!! I have not recieved one offer for money yet, not even a dollar. I joined 10 survey compinies. I am now going to regester from the bottom of the list up. New compainies start at the bottm of the list. I am speculating they might need my business and really pay me!!!

Sorry for what I said above about VivaResearch above. I just found them on the net. Perhaps they are real. But the 300.00 I earned taking their dozen or so surveys is still pending they say. Pending on what I wonder ^_^! But why would some of their surveys ask me for my social security number and credit card info? I would be careful of that site!IP: Logged |

I am back. ^_^. I am sure that VivaResearch is a scam. They don't have a working email and they have no contact phone number. No fax either. They say my survey pay will take up to 6 weeks to be approved. Lol. That gives them more time to scam many people and get their personal information to steal.IP: Logged |

I started this two days ago and what a BIGGGG mistake. Let's see, I read that this was the best one on the internet, that others are bogus and the first 20 are the best, bull crap. I have had great offers, just send them money, wait, wasn't I suppose to be making money??? I would love to find a legitamate way to work at home, using the internet, but this was not it. Now I get to endure the phone calls and such, but to be honest, I would like to try the three days of herbalife, for free, but it is 12.95 for shipping. Wish I had seen this before, shame on me for not knowing to look past the apparently bogus study of the survey sites. IP: Logged |

I use scouts survey and yes there are alot of places you can get survey with but none dont pay what was told. I do surveys every day just for the fun if it now because I dont think they pay much at all. Some give points and you have to just build them up others give you 2 or 3 dollars. I really dont think its worth your time if u want to make some good money from them. But to do something if ur board or not bussy its ok. So dont believe all those lies they say about u can make alot of money its just not true and dont pay no money to join like I did its just a wast of ur money, there are so many sight you can find that u dont have to money for. Maybe some of these people are disabled and are forced to stay at home or something like that or maybe they are just retired.Your not a shrink.... say it ain't so. Cuz every shrink I know has heart enough to shut the fuck up and listen, then decide when verbally expressing what they think not to YELL it at the person or people they THINK has a problem. If your going to school to be a shrink I hope you make a goddamn C next semester cuz you know and I know, you gotta be a straight A student. Just even a B will be the end for ya. ha ha ha And you have the nerve while you yell on this board to say we have a problem???? Jesus! Maybe someone will come and pay attention to you and you'll take a shower. I wasn't yelling at the general public--just ignorant pieces of crap like you who think everything is easy in this world. Guess what? I don't care if you are stirring up potions to curse me and give me a dreaded C, b/c all I have to do is diagnose you as Boderline Personality or Schizo and say you are a danger to yourself. I read several will pay will pay real money in this complaints list by a few. This is not true. Not one company will pay anybody real money ever. I let my email run for months after signing up. I got not one real offer for even 1 dollar for a paid survey. Not one penny. As long as they can convince suckers they might get a paid survery they will continue to write on here to save their bad name. I swear to God after signing up for the top 300 cash paying only companies I got not one real offer. I do get 400 to 700 emails a day now. I look at a few but delete the rest. You will get every scam there is from trying paid surveys. Name just 3 real businesses that will pay you money continuously and I will pay you for my survey!!! Just like the survey companies pay ^_^. There is a real one from Ebay. But I never got paid for it. It's a one time shot though. Surveys are a scam!!!IP: Logged |

Dear Redflagscam. Below are the questions you asked. I will answer them in order. ^_^ 1. I tried them. No but they are worthwhile if you want to take all surveys for free and help rich companies. 2. There are no good sites in this industry. They are all a scam 100%. The federal Gov is closing them down. Guess who reported them. ^_^. 3. Not viable at all. You have no chance of making even a dollar!!! 4. The more companies you regester with the more spam mail and scams you will recieve! 5. Nope as in question 4. NO! 6. Yes, they try for any private info they can get and I promise you will be bomb barded with emails and phone calls selling you everything under the sun! 7. No tips on that other than don't waste your time as thousands of people have. They will all be closed down in time for scamming the public. I suppose the 3rd world countries will allow them to operate. Now, I hope that answers your 7 questions that you asked below Mr. RedFlagScam. I am always happy to help a fellow internet user Sir.This was your post RedFlagScam. some questions about the above: 1. who has tried survey scout...has anyone found it totally worthwhile? 2. what other sites in this indusrty are good? 3. how viable is this as a supplemental means on income? 4. would it be worthwhile registering with a bunch of these companies, or do you soon get swamped? 5. that said, given the demand for surveys from reliable companies that pay a lot in cash, wouldn't it be best to have the most possible information, i.e. largest database? 6. any privacy concerns? 7. any tips on how to do this quickly/efficiently? cheers IP: Logged |

You guys want a get rich scheme I got one. Works like a chain letter, but is actually a multi level marketing program. The only differance with this mlm is that "each" person makes the same as everyone else You work for an actual co selling a product and collecting a commission.. If you contact the Better Business Bureau in your area they will try to help you resolve your problem. Also they provide online tips for preventing this kind of thing. It doesn't do yourself any good to put yourself down for falling prey to these kind of scams, it happens to more people than you would believe possible. If you learned a lesson from this scamming event, then it wasn't a total loss. Some people have been scammed out of their life savings. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I totally agree this is the biggest rip-off I've ever seen. I paid their fees and did not make a single penny. I called them within the 90 day period and told them I was not satisfied and they said my email(AOL) did not work right. Just be patient, well it's been about 7 months and I still have not made a penny. DO NOT USE THIS WEB SITE, THEY DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD. RIP-OFF IS WHAT IT IS.

Hello. I wanted to agree with the majority that Survey Scout is a complete waste of time. The only thing good I got out of it was the software program ( Roboform ). Getting my money back, however, was not that hard since I had a money back guarrantee. Not only are surveys hard, but, in my case I usually didn't qualify for most of them. And all the free prize offers were the biggest headache. I could actually win nice things (which didn't work by the way), but I had to subsribe to all these other offers, and there were a long list of rules that had to be abided by or else I didn't get the prize. Thank god I'm out of that. Oh yeah, and because of Survey Scout, I have hundreds of spam messages each and every stinken day. Don't do it, trust me!!!!IP: Logged |

Ok, After reading all these complaints, I've pretty much confirmed to myself what I had suspected all along. That being the 100% FACT that there is not one single solitary *legitimate* payed survey site in the entire universe! Thanx for saving me the time and money! But my serious beef NOW is with the FBI, FTC, BBB, and other "consumer alert" type web sites. They all tell you what to "Watch out for" and all the "Red flags" that give away the fact that the sites are probably frauds. My beef is with the word: "Probably". There IS NO: "Probably" when it comes to whether a survey site is a scam or not. There IS NO "NOT" here. They're ALL SCAMS. The FBI, FTC, BBB, and other watchdog type consumer sites lead people (falsely) to believe that there are at least *some* legitimate sites out there if you can weed out the scams. But they're ALL SCAMS! Why don't those consumer alert sites just save people time and MONEY and just flat out tell the TRUTH. They could give readers all the information they need in ONE LINE OF TEXT instead boring you to death with page after page of information you don't really need. In fact, they could sum it all up in 2 words: *DON'T BOTHER!* These watchdog and U.S. GOV. sites are misleading the people by listing the bad, when all they have to do is tell folks that there is NO GOOD. It's a totally ONE sided equation when it comes to survey sites. they're ALL CROOKS, every last one of them. And no.....I'm NOT a liberal. In fact, if I were I'd probably be defending these scam sites right to free speech. Even though that speech is milking innocent Americans of their hard earned money. Peace, Mark IP: Logged |

There are many *legitimate* survey panels out there.Right now, the more popular survey panel to join is NFO My Survey. Find out why. NFO Link Think about this...if paid surveys were ALL a scam, wouldn't you hear more bad press? I saw a nice big red sticker on a Jack-In-The-Box wrapper the other day, it read something like... "Make money and join Jack's survey panel..." And that's a huge fast food chain. Finding the right panels online is easy if you know where to look. - iworkathome [This message has been edited by iworkathome (edited 02-07-2006).] IP: Logged |

If you've joined a Survey program that you feel is a rip-off and paid thru ClickBank then demand your refund from CLICKBANK (you can explain why) and not the actual company (who will rarely if ever offer a refund). You will get your sign-up fee back if you are within the refund period (but not any other money you've sent the crooks) and if enough people do that and scream 'Scam!' the program will, eventually, be removed from Clickbank's database. Most people don't do the above and consequently lose out. I don't know about similar programs like Clickbank - I'm sure they are many - but hopefully they, as the payment processors, will come thru with a refund like Clickbank do. IP: Logged |

Thank You!!!! I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who wrote in and saved me from making a BIG mistake and trying Survey Scout, it's as I suspected if it sounds to good to be true it is. I agree with MarkHead in CT why aren't agencies such as the FTC, FBI, BBB doing anything I remember now they are to busy watching out for us and I am also not a liberal but why the hell can any 10th grader in this country figure out there all scams but not or top watch dogs? Well thanks again. Best of luck to anyone who is still trying to get their money back. One place you may try is your local DA's office many times they will have a department that deals with small fraud cases. Peace out!IP: Logged |
